Bible reading:   Acts 4:25-26

Memory Verse: Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? Psalms 2:1(NKJV)

By national decadence we mean the decay in standard, morals, dignity, religious faith or skill of the people in a nation.

It is important to note that Civic Education is inadequate for the total transformation of a Man and consequently, a nation. Man is a spirit. Lasting transformation of any kind begins in the spirit man. Everything is spiritual and everything must be handled spiritually.

The schools in America gradually swept God away from their curriculum. Some even abolished morning devotion, the foundation upon which their founding fathers established the nation. The result is the obvious – National Decadence!

Imagine a 17yr old student walk into a Church killing the priest and seven others. The fear of God has jumped out of the heart of such a student.

Shall we talk about the proliferation of guns among students? Killings and bloodshed, riot, vandalization, destruction of school and government properties have become the order of the day in most Nigerian Schools and Institutions. Can’t we embrace dialogue in conflict resolution?

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD” (Isaiah 1:18).

Action Word:  Be a patriotic citizen. Never sabotage your school or government properties.

Prayer point:

  1. Every spirit of waste and destruction, roaming about in the heavens of this country, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every evil altar raised in every sector of this country, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
