Bible reading: Luke 17:11-19

Memory Verse: So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? “Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Luke 17:17-18(NKJV)

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving male friend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry him.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her male friend. Her male friend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her male friend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her male friend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying: “Just take care of my eyes, dear.”

This is how human being change when their status change. Human memory could be quick to forget…Only few remember what life was before they got to where they are presently, and those who have always been there in the most painful situations.

Don’t be like that brother who couldn’t bring his mother into his “exquisite” party because his mother is aged. The same mother whose shoulder he leaned to become what he is.

Don’t be quick to forget friends, Uncles, siblings, and teachers who God used as a springboard to becoming who you are today. Don’t ever be ungrateful. You are to give God the glory for being your only Source and give honour to men who allowed Him use them as a channel.

Quote: Human nature is chameleon-like. Guard against that.

Prophetic Word: I rebuke the spirit of ingratitude, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

My Father, I repent of every way I have been unthankful and ungrateful to You and all you have brought my way to guide me in the journey of life. Create in me a new heart O God, and renew a right Spirit in me. Cast me not away from your presence O God and take not your Spirit away from me, restore unto me the joy of my salvation.
