UNDERSTANDING THE FIGHT OF FAITH (1)

UNDERSTANDING THE FIGHT OF FAITH (1)

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post March

Saturday, 25th March, 2017.

Text: Heb. 12:22-24.

Memory Verse: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV)

Spiritual battles are not fought by trying to feel better. Spiritual battles are fought when you refuse the devil to force on you what is contrary to what the Bible shows you.  The Christian man is one who says, “Lord, I don’t have to see it physically, I don’t have to feel it, but if I can ‘see it’ in the Bible, I will accept it.” If the Bible says, “By the stripes of Jesus, you are healed”, why do you agree with the pain in your body? If the Bible tells you something different from what your body says, you face the situation with the Word.

So, you can have Biblical faith without having physical facts because what gives the Christian a view point is not his feelings about what God’s Word says. That is what the fight of faith is all about. The fight of faith is your refusal to accept evidence of any other information that is contradicting what the Bible has said. It means you can’t fight a fight of faith if you don’t know what the Bible has said on a matter. How often do you read your Bible? Daily devotional guides shouldn’t be a substitute to knowing the mind of God as contained in the Bible.

Quote: Read and stand on the Word. Fight for all God has said concerning your life.

Prophetic Word:  May your anchor hold consistently on the Word, in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

  1. I receive the courage and the boldness to stand on what God has said until it manifests, in Jesus name.
  2. I rebuke all faith killers, in the name of Jesus.
