Bible Reading:  Matthew 25:14-30

Memory Verse: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18

A shoe company told one of her staff to go to a remote area for a visibility survey.  When he got there, he was nauseated at their level of stark illiteracy and backwardness in civilization. He kept complaining to the management and he was eventually withdrawn. Days later, another staff was sent to the same place. He called back with a tone of ecstasy. “Sir, we’ve hit a jackpot “, he said.  We’re going to make a lot of money if only we can sell the idea of owning a shoe to these people. What separated these two people is what they are seeing. Wealth is present even in abject poverty but only discerning eyes can see it. One is seeing abject poverty while the other is seeing prosperity.  While the former is seeing backwardness, the latter is seeing forwardness. The question is what are you seeing? Failure or success?  Problems or Challenges?  Fate or faith?  Destitution or hope? Our lives moves up or down depending on the way we see things in our mind. Our mind is like a garden. It is what you feed it with that it gives back to you. As a man thinks, so he is. If you believe you are a failure you are right! Also, if you believe you are a success, you are also right!  Hence, a need to guard jealously all the entrances that lead to your heart – what you see, what you hear, and your company (friends).  Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. We must pray to the Father of glory to see beyond the physical eyes.

  3. Have a vision. It is the ability to see the invisible. If you can see the invisible, you can achieve the impossible – Shiv Khera

Prophetic Decree: I command the miracle of the open eyes, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Focus:

  1. Open the eyes of my understanding, O Lord that I may behold your wonders, in Jesus name.
  2. Open my eyes O Lord, that I may behold wondrous things out of your word, in Jesus name.
  3. I command a paradigm shift in my orientation and thinking, in Jesus name
  4. I rebuke all powers confronting my present because of my future, in Jesus name.
