IF YE BE WILLING AND OBEDIENT (2)

Bible Reading: Exodus 4:24-26; Hebrews 5:8-9.
Memory Verse: If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19

“Your instruction is your part in what God is doing in your day.” However, many Christians have given the Accuser of the brethren a foothold due to disobedience.  Every act of disobedience stagnates your spiritual progress and you must not allow it. Today, we consider other forms of disobedience:

3.      Delayed Obedience: Moses delayed the circumcision of his son in deference to his wife and the Lord sought to kill him. Delayed obedience is disobedience. It predisposes you to assaults; your protection is in the instructions of the Lord to you. The man that delays obedience is a candidate for divine replacement. Psalm 119:60 says, “I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments”.

4.      Incomplete Obedience: Jesus, our Lord, said “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” You cannot worship the Father in flagrant disobedience. The grace of God is to enable us conform to His demands and not flout them. Is there any instruction from the Lord that you have not fully obeyed?

2 Corinthians 10: 6 says “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” God cannot use you to enforce His will when you are living in disobedience. To win the trust of God, you must decide ahead that you will fully obey every instruction from the Lord to you through the Bible, your regenerated spirit, encounters in the place of prayer, or through your pastor. Only then are you set for the higher things of God. To obey is to become a God “Yes Man”!

Quote: God gives grace, Man brings obedience.

Prophetic Word:        May the Lord conquer your self-will in absolute obedience, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. LORD, I refuse the spirit that worketh in the children of disobedience.
  2. Lord Jesus, baptize me afresh with the spirit of obedience in Jesus’ name.
  3. Holy Spirit, I release myself in total dedication to your Word, in Jesus name.
  4. I reject the heart of stone for the heart of flesh, in Jesus name.
  5. Spirit of Obedience, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.
