Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 11:1-6
Memory Verse:Plant your seeds early in the morning and keep working in the field until dark. Who knows? Your work might pay off, and your seeds might produce. Ecclesiastes 11:6 (CEV)
The term “sow a seed” has been abused in certain quarters in the Christendom, however, it is an acceptable practice by God. The popular Philippians 4:19 was a prophetic blessing from the mouth of Apostle Paul after the Philippian Church had ministered unto his needs. Having said that, you need wisdom in going about your seeds. A seed is as important as the time to plant such seed, and the time of planting is equally as important as the type of ground upon which it should be planted.
You must also understand the type of seed to be planted. It is not enough for you to sow your seed, you must ask God for the address (ground) i.e. the receiver of the seed; and when (seed time) it must be sowed. Not all seeds are acceptable sacrifices before God. Not all grounds are fertile. Not all timing is right. You need spiritual intelligence. Once you know the ground as revealed by God through His Spirit, do it immediately as at when due.
Ecclesiastes 11:6 (NKJV) says, “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good”. SEEDS BREAK SIEGE. “There is one who scatters and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.” Proverbs 11:24 (WEB)
The ground that supports rice cultivation may not support apple cultivation. Similarly, every servant of God has his/her own peculiar grace. You must ask the Holy Spirit for your own ground. Moreover, your seed must not always be in cash. It can also be in kind. A young Christian brother honoured a man of God by helping to carry his luggage. When the Pastor got to his car, he lifted up his voice and made a sudden declaration, “May the Lord increase you”. Those words lifted up the destiny of our dear brother that same week. Selah.

Prayer Focus
1. Gracious and most generous God I thank and worship you.
2. Today, I break every limitation placed over my finances, in Jesus name.
3. I receive wisdom to know the seed, the timing and the ground that will change my story, in Jesus name.
4. Holy Spirit, deliver me from financial embarrassment in Year 2020.
5. I shall not sow in vain. I shall not bring forth for trouble, in the name of Jesus.
