Bible Reading: Acts 3: 1-10

Memory Verse:Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

Our generation is in need of men and women that will demonstrate the raw power of God. Psalms 110:3a says, “Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power”. But, how do you become a carrier of the power of God?

1. Strong desire: A young boy asked his father to show him the secret of power. One day, his father took him to a nearby stream and suddenly dipped his head in the water for some minutes. He grasped for his breath. Then, his father asked, “What do you want so badly when your head was inside the water”. He responded, “Air”. “Not until you desire the power of God so desperately you may not find it”, the father concluded.

2. Prayers and Fasting: Fasting fastens your access into the things of the Spirit. Jesus Himself fasted for 40 days and night before He began his ministry. A servant is not greater than his master.

3. Brokenness: You must be dead to sin, lust, the world, your ambitions, etc. What is that thing that is too hard for you to give up for God? No rise without a price. Give it up, now!

4. Absolute holiness: Flee from all appearances of evil. 99% holiness is unholiness.

5. Total consecration: If God cannot totally possess you then, He cannot totally use you. Radical dedication to God and His kingdom is a must.

6. Humility: Three young men met a servant of God, Prophet Olowere in Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria and asked, “What is the secret of the power of the Holy Spirit?” He simply responded humility.

7. Alone with God: Like Jacob, you must be ready to tarry to carry. The Apostles waited in God’s presence for 10 days before the Holy Ghost descended. Defy the rush mentality of this generation.

8. Speaking in tongues: 1 Corinthians 14:18 says, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all”. Try to speak in tongues for at least 1 hour everyday but don’t stop at that.

Prophetic Decree: May you receive a divine visitation that will make you a carrier of God’s power in your generation.

Prayer Focus

1. I break every satanic chains and shackles tying down my inner man, in Jesus name.

2. Power of God enter me now in Jesus name.

3. I render to nothing activities of domestic witchcraft in my generation, in the name of Jesus.

4. I scatter all satanic altars in my environment by the power in the Blood of Jesus.

5. O God, announce your power in my life to my generation, in Jesus name.
