Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:1-3

If grace must be sustained in your life, you must be a profitable son and daughter. There are two broad sets of parents: Your biological parents and your spiritual parents. When you take good care of these two, there are prayers you won’t have to pray again. SOME BLESSINGS ARE NOT SAID, THEY ARE PROVOKED. If you want to be very sure of a great night, take care of your parents in your morning. There are many people in highbrow cities doing well but their parents are in the village selling firewood. In some marriages, one of the spouse will not allow the other to take care of his/her parents. Such an attitude hinders grace from working.
Do you want an authority of ease for continuous expansion and unexplainable mega progress? Then, continuously take care of your parents. Someone may ask. But what if my parents have been very cruel to me? My mother is a witch. My Father abandoned me while I was a baby. My father chased my mother out of the house and married another wife who treated me badly. Look at this scripture: “If you love only someone who loves you, will God praise you for that? Even sinners love people who love them.” Luke 6:32 (CEV). Again, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your friends, hate your enemies.’ But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil.
Why should God reward you if you love only the people who love you? Even the tax collectors do that! And if you speak only to your friends, have you done anything out of the ordinary? Even the pagans do that! You must be perfect—just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:43-48 (GNB). Friends, you really have to be careful about anyone who have been conferred with a measure of spiritual authority over your life. I admonish you to position yourself in a way that their soul may bless you at all times despite what might have happened in the past. A merry soul brings forth blessings, what about a broken spirit? Some events happen in life that reveals what material we are made of and consequently, qualify or disqualify you for your next level. Tread carefully, beloved. Reject that spirit of offence. It has come to steal your harvest and blessings. Be a Christian indeed. The festive season is here again, make that desired change today. Take good care of your parents.
N.B: Your parents also include all those who have played the noble role of a parent to you at any junction in your life. Such category include your aged guardians and foster parents.

Prayer Focus
I admit and I repent of anyway I have dishonoured my parents, in Jesus name. Today, I cancel any curse I have brought on myself as a result of dishonour to my parents, in Jesus name. I solemnly declare that henceforth, I shall make amends, in Jesus name. By the power of restoration, I begin to move forward by the mercies of God, in Jesus name.
