Bible Reading: Galatians 5: 14-15, Matthew 7:12

Memory Verse: Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 (NLT)

One major work of the Holy Spirit is to continually work out the image and likeness of God in us. Like it or not, many or all of God’s blessings to us comes through people. Hence, we must know how to position and comport ourselves appropriately. Perhaps, you are a difficult person to relate with and you do not know. Today, let us examine who a difficult person is:

1. If you think everyone is always wrong while you are always right. You are making yourself a DIFFICULT PERSON.

2. If everyone around you walk on egg shells (i.e. they are overly careful when dealing with you). They’d rather not talk to you. You are a DIFFICULT PERSON.

3. When you have something bad to say about every person or thing, you just might be a DIFFICULT PERSON.

4. If you are too adamant about forgiving others… You are a DIFFICULT PERSON.

5. If you have gradually become too hard to please. Beware, you are becoming a DIFFICULT PERSON.

6. If people have to fast and pray before they summon courage to see or tell you what is in their heart. You just might be a DIFFICULT PERSON

7. When you argue about everything, even when there is no need for it, be careful, you are becoming a DIFFICULT PERSON.

8. If You never say I AM SORRY; or must be cajoled into saying it… You are a DIFFICULT PERSON.

9. When you assume you know the motive why people do what they do. Are you God? Of course, you are not. You are just a DIFFICULT PERSON.

10. If you have a correction for everyone but none for yourself. You are a DIFFICULT PERSON.

It is impossible not to come across a difficult person as you journey through life, whether it’s in the form of a neighbour, relative, colleague, employee, customer, or supplier. Engage the wisdom of God in dealing with such people.

“IF WE HAVE MINISTERED UNTO YOU IN SPIRITUAL THINGS, IS IT WRONG FOR YOU TO MINISTER BACK IN PHYSICAL THINGS” (1 COR. 9:11). BE A PART OF WHAT GOD WILL BE USING THIS DEVOTIONAL TO DO IN YEAR 2021.
