Bible Reading: Romans 6: 1-15

MemoryVerse: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.Romans  6:14

Q1. I lost my dad at age 5. My mum was deeply engrossed with her business and wasn’t there for me. Her absence created a vacuum for my elder sisters and cousins to abuse me sexually. Eventually, after my sisters stopped, they had already awoken an appetite that keeps calling for satisfaction. It was so bad that on one occasion, I booked a hotel room and paid a prostitute just to satisfy my lustful desire. This is not the kind of life I want to live. Please, I need help!

A1. When parents leave their primary role of parenting into the hands of others because they are consumed by the pressure of making ends meet, the children suffer for it. That aside, it’s obvious you need deliverance from the foul spirit that has possessed your mind and sexual appetite. Receive your deliverance in Jesus name. Please confess to your mum and/or your pastor. Also, carefully select only godly friends, and watch the kind of music and videos you feed your mind with. Above all, rely on the grace of God to live a holy life.

Q2. During my NYSC when I went to serve in a particular state away from my city, I found myself being unhealthily close to a male friend. In my naivety, I didn’t think that anything could happen. Our friendship continued until one day when we found ourselves in the act of sex. I cried. I never believed I could do that. I thought it was going to stop at that but it didn’t. It created a desire for sex and that led to masturbation. Gradually, I lost the desire to attend prayer meetings or bible study. Of course, by the time I left to further my education, the desire for sex didn’t leave me and so the masturbation continued. After I got back to school, I had another male friend who was also close to me and the sex issue started again. I was into a relationship with someone else before all these but the relationship broke up. I am so fed up with my life that sometimes I ask myself if there is still a future for me.

A2. You need to be extra careful and set clear boundaries (laid down rules and regulations) between you and the opposite sex. Don’t think you can manage it. Way out:

I) Reject guilt and self-condemnation (Rom 8:1). Run to the throne of grace and confess your sins to your heavenly Father (Heb. 4:16).

ll) Secure the help of other mature believers around you. Seek counsel.

III) Feed your mind more with the Word of God and prayers.

IV) Rebuke the spirit of sexual addiction and masturbation.

V) Go for deliverance.

Quote: One thing you must realize is that: You either kill your addiction or your addiction will eventually kill you –  OcheOtorkpa

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace for sexual sanity, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Holy God we thank You.

2. Sexual demons assaulting my mind, roast to ashes, in Jesus name.

3. Inordinate affections in my members, catch fire, in Jesus name.

4. Decree: Sin shall no more reign in my mortal body, in Jesus name.

5. I terminate by the Blood of Jesus any demonic affinity with any spirit wife/husband, in Jesus name.

6. I break any demonic soul tie with any of my past sexual partners, in Jesus name.

7. I receive fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost in my spirit, soul and body, in Jesus name.
