Bible Reading: Genesis 6: 1-7

Memory VerseBut thus says the LORD: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your childrenIsaiah 49:25

This world is deep. Read these:

1. She was a beautiful lecturer. Had a house, a car and all the good things of life but no man ever said “Hello Queen”. She met a man of God who put her on a prayer programme. On the 7th day of the prayer, she had a dream. She saw a pot beside her father’s grave in the village. The angel of the Lord dipped his hands into the pot and brought out two carved image tied together with black and red cloth bearing her name and the idol of her father’s house. Behold, she had been married to her family idol by her dead father and as a result, she couldn’t get married on earth until the covenant was broken.

2. In another case, a sister couldn’t get married. She met this genuine prophet of the living God who instructed her: Buy some gifts for your grandmother and ask her for the reason behind your predicament. On getting to the village, she met her grandmother who wouldn’t bulge. The sister threatened to do something drastic if she doesn’t confess. Then her grandmother called her and removed her wrapper. She said, “This waist band I’m tying is your placenta which I sun-dried since the day you were born. Should you marry, who will take care of me?”. Our dear sister was married to her grandmother in the village hence, no man would ever approach her. This is what is often called placenta bondage.

Dearly beloved, spiritually, some people have been married to failure, others to poverty, crocodile, village shine, family idol, water spirit, their biological father/mother, a dead relative, former boyfriend/girlfriend, a particular sickness during the rainy season, etc. Please take note of some of these things as sometimes reflected through your dreams. What do you have to say to a man who found himself before a marriage altar without knowing how he got there? He has been demonically manipulated into an evil marriage. On the other hand, even some married couples have serious challenges in their home because of some of these reasons.

What is the way out?

1. Repent from all known and unknown sin; personal or ancestral.

2. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.

3. Break any conscious and unconscious evil marriage by the power in the Blood of Jesus.

4. Return any material collected from such evil marriage e.g. bride price, promissory note, wedding gown, wedding ring, etc.

5. Begin to serve God faithfully.

Quote: Jesus sets you free, why should you be bound?

Prophetic Decree: The strongman in charge of any evil marriage in your life shall collide with the Rock of Ages and die by fire, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

Confess this with power and fire: I repent of every known and unknown sins. Today, I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and saviour. I am born again. I break every known and unknown covenant; and any conscious and unconscious covenant with any marine spirit, village idol, spirit wife/husband, dead relative, former boy/girlfriend, in the name of Jesus. I command my physical marriage to manifest by fire, by the power in the Blood of Jesus. I command peace in my marriage, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Psalm 3-4, 12-13, 28, 55
