Bible Reading: Isaiah 61: 1-3

Memory VerseTo appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isaiah61:3(KJV)

Someone suggested five ways to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.

2. Free your mind from worries.

3. Give more and expect less.

4. Live simple and never be in a hurry.

5. Have a deep relationship with God.

Hurry and Worry are two things that must die in your life. Hurry and worry suggests that you are either impatient with God your Creator, your destiny timing and/or yourself. Recently, I’ve been coming across a lot of videos of young guys who just want to “cash out” in a hurry. One tried fetish money the first time and almost ran mad. Not relenting in his quest to make money hurriedly, he tried it the second time and this time around, he was baptized with full time madness.

Dearly beloved, shall we cultivate the virtue of patience. Everything has its own time, even as we diligently follow God (Eccl. 3:1). Why turn the morning of your life to evening, and the evening of your life to night? Please don’t wreck your destiny. Allow the Holy Spirit work out the virtue of contentment in you per time. Furthermore, it is the spirit of hurry that will not make one cross check before submitting a proposal, or an examination. Learn to dot your i’s and cross your t’s. Be painstaking. Many adults worry so much and yet get so little. They worry about the bills, the myriads of problems, their children, their spouse, extended family, work, the pain of yesterday, etc.

They have soon forgotten the scripture that says, “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP). Wait a minute. Why worry over a matter that cannot fetch you a solution? Some people who want to be left alone are not actually thinking about the solutions to their problems, rather they are brooding and sulking over the problems. Know for sure you’re one step away from depression and high blood pressure if you don’t desist. Have you soon forgotten? “The joy of the Lord is my strength”. Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV).

Get your mind productively busy. Go fish for souls. Sing a song of praise to God. Take a walk. Do what you love doing to the glory of God and for the benefits of humanity. You are not the only person that has problems; almost everyone does. Then, why those scruffy face, depressing mood, and unnecessary tears? They won’t solve the problems, only Jesus will. Today, I want to encourage you to get these two words – Hurry and Worry – out of your life, and see your progress manifest rapidly.  Jesus cares for you. Yes, He really does.

Quote: Pray more, worry less. Laugh more, stress less. Hope more, hurry less.

Prophetic Decree: I release an avalanche of peace into your heart, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Author of Peace, I honour You.

2. Today, I receive the Oil of joy for mourning, in Jesus name.

3. I receive the garment of praise for the Spirit of heaviness, in Jesus name.

4. I issue a divine red card against the spirit of hurry and worry, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to walk in my destiny lane in God’s speed without putting myself under pressure, in Jesus name.
