Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Peter 1: 1-11
Memory Verse: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
I learnt some very salient lessons from the testimony of Mrs Elizabeth Aremu whom we have been studying for the past two days. She left what only God could do to God, while she played her own part. It is only in the power of God to kill and to make alive. Hence, God took away the life of the evil strongwoman, the tyrant of her destiny who had vowed she would not carry her children. However, Mrs Aremu took responsibility for the development of her personal faith, her character, and she was very sensitive to maximize her moment of prophetic visitation even as she served God diligently.
Brethren, please make sure you are deliberately growing spiritually. Many keep complaining about the rigour of their job, and how demanding it is. But, who do you run to when the devil raises his ugly head in your life even in your busy schedule? Destiny moments sometimes comes in a jiffy. At the descent of the Mount of Olives, Jesus beheld a city and wept over it because they couldn’t discern their hour of visitation (Luke 19:44). Imagine if Mrs Aremu wasn’t sensitive. Her angel of fruitfulness came locked up in the person of her Prophet. She understood spiritual principles.
That’s exactly what I am saying. She must have been a very good reader of the Word of God for the Holy Spirit to have nudged her on that destiny day when, like the Shunnamite woman she honoured her Man of God and expected to reap from his grace. This is the reason why some Church goers keep complaining that they are praying but nothing is happening in their lives. How many kingdom principles do you know which you have deployed over that situation in your life? There are definite kingdom principles that works for every phase of life. Once ignored, you cannot be a partaker of the grace attached.
Are you in search of a fresh anointing, university admission, fruit of the womb, career progress, spiritual growth, promotion, business glory, increase in sales, etc? Search the scriptures, observe Biblical patterns and obtain definite results. Your Pastor will not do that for you. You need to know for yourself. When last did you study the Word of God for an hour? When last did you meditate upon the Word for at least 15 minutes? As you pray in the Holy Ghost, do you perceive the Holy Ghost drop one or two instructions in your heart? Brethren, these are daily practices you are expected to be doing to toughen your spiritual muscles and feed your inner man. May you not miss your hour of visitation, in Jesus name. Grow daily in the knowledge and grace of God.
Quote: When a farmer misses his planting season, he may have to wait for another cycle according to the time of life.
Prophetic Decree: Before the end of this year, your life shall be an effulgence of God’s special grace.
