Bible Reading: Mark 16: 15-18
Memory Verse: So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well. If I love you more, will you love me less? 2 Corinthians 12:15 (NIV)
Practical ways to move the kingdom of God forward includes:
1. In your words and in deeds: Your character speaks louder than your words. Let your words always match your deeds.
2. Punctuality: Imagine a self-professing Christian who comes late to his/her place of work and writes down the wrong time like others.
3. By organizing a lunch hour fellowship: Where possible as a Christian, you can start a 15 – 30 minutes Christian fellowship be it in your place of work or during your break as a student.
4. Philanthropy: I’m yet to see anyone who doesn’t like gifts, not even the rich. This method is most effective in rural evangelism. Brethren, let’s live practically for the gospel in cash and in kind.
5. Intercession: Special kudos to all territorial intercessors. However, this is the primary calling of all believers. Evangelize on your knees in fervent prayers.
6. Use your gifts to serve: Intelligent students can use their brain to serve God and their colleagues by organizing academic tutorials while they chip in a few minutes of Word exhortation and prayers. We need to develop innovative evangelism strategies.
7. Wear branded customized clothes that talks about Jesus: Tell your colleagues about Jesus by inscribing your shirts, face cap and T-shirts about Jesus.
8. Social media: Stop spreading gibberish on your social media handles. Say something about Jesus on your DP (Debut Picture), status, etc.
9. Print publications: Tracts and other hard copy Christian publications will also be most useful. You can decide to buy the hard copy of a devotional like this and give it out for free every quarter. The other time, a brother sent some free Bibles to an African country.
10. Street Evangelism: This can be done one on one, or by audio visual. In the latter, a Christian music, drama or message can be blared in the air.
11. Kingdom partnership: As the Lord leads you, you can decide to partner with any ministry devoted to spreading the word of God around the globe. It takes a lot of financial resources to continually raise the banner of Christ high.
Quote: You cannot lift the banner of the gospel high and your hands will not remain high – Galatians. 6:7
Prophetic Decree: Henceforth, you shall begin to reap the reward of kingdom service, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. I celebrate the God of all spirits.
2. I receive grace to lay down my life and resources for the continous spread of the gospel.
3. I place a demand on the blessings of serving God in spirit and in truth, in Jesus name.
4. Territorial strongmen frustrating my labour for the kingdom, be wasted, in Jesus name.
5. I pray for fresh baptism of the Spirit of conviction in the heart of my hearers, in Jesus name.
