Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 20:20c, 2 Timothy 1:6
Memory Verse: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
Sam Chiaka wrote: I used to condemn ministers who get excited and pray more zealously for people who bless them financially or materially…until the day a dear brother blessed me with a ‘powerful’ much needed credit alert. The way I prayed for him eh, even the Angels around me knew the brother had done something! And guess what? The things I said in prayer, out of joy in my heart because of what he did for me, all came to pass one by one, without fail. I know, because he told me himself!
Clearly, this man recognized me as a man of God, and honoured me substantially as such, while eagerly watching out for my utterance and when I opened my mouth to speak, he RECEIVED BY FAITH EVERY WORD I UTTERED SPONTANEOUSLY OUT OF MY HEART, taking them as God’s word to Him… and God honoured his faith! You see, I found out men of God (whoever brings you a revelation of God’s word and the ministry of the Spirit) have emotions too, and their emotions can be stirred to work for or against the individual who stirs it up.
You don’t have to agree with this, you are free to believe whatever you want. But I have seen this work in my life too. Severally, I have gone to find out something about those I regard as men of God, particularly my pastors, in order to find out what they love or need at that point so that I can meet it, and then, watch out to catch their utterances of blessing while they are happy for what I gave them. I have found this to be very powerful, many times with those words actually carrying me into accomplishing huge milestones in my life miraculously. This is a fact all over scriptures.
There’s a difference in asking a man of God to pray for you, and when you honour him substantially and he speaks words into your life out of the abundance of the joy you stirred in his heart. The emotion of your man of God is powerful, especially when you are responsible for stirring it. It can cause a release of an anointing through his words. By the way, I hope you know that the statement “…my God shall supply all your needs, according to his riches…” was not Paul’s prayer for everybody?
It was a prayer borne out of joy in response to the gift the people had given to him. Simply put, it was Paul’s prayer after he received a ‘credit alert’. It makes perfect sense now why Isaac first sent his son to go prepare him “peppersoup” from his own hunt (even though he already had many livestock and all it took to prepare it), because he wanted to first enjoy his son’s sweat and his soul will joyfully bless him. Avoid manipulations and other excesses, but don’t throw away this clearly revealed truth in God’s word. Be wise!
Quote: He who receives and welcomes a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward – Matthew 10:41 (AMP)
