Bible Reading: Isaiah 40: 29-31
Memory Verse: But they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (ASV)
It was worship leader, Ron Kenoly who sang the song, “We will wait upon the Lord”. When you have just lost a very much important document needed for your travel, perhaps God had just kept you in the waiting room. When you lose your much desired pregnancy after several attempt, perhaps you are in the waiting room. You have been waiting upon the Lord for a good job several years after graduation, perhaps you are in God’s waiting room. Your visa application hasn’t gone through after several attempts, perhaps you are in God’s waiting room.
You have been trusting God for a new job but it doesn’t seem to be forthcoming, perhaps you’re in God’s waiting room. Why am I experiencing several heart breaks? Perhaps you’re in God’s waiting room. The much needed multibillionaire contract just got lost, perhaps you’re in God’s waiting room. The waiting room can be defined as an ante-room or a reception leading to the CEO’s office. God is that CEO.
His angels are the receptionists at the waiting room. Do well to RELAX and wait for your turn. God, the CEO will soon call you up. He that believes does not make haste. He makes everything beautiful in His own time. God’s waiting room usually is hard on the flesh but if you persevere, it will work in you the fruit of the Holy Spirit making you conform more into the image of the full stature of Christ (Romans 8:29). He is working in you virtues that will mature you into the image of Jesus, His dear son. Shall we end with the lyrics of the song “We wait upon the Lord” by Ron Kenoly:

Prophetic Decree: Receive the Spirit of patience, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Powers that have vowed that my turn will not come, be wasted, in Jesus name.
2. Those mocking me in God’s waiting room shall soon turn around to celebrate me, in Jesus name.
3. I confess: As I wait upon the Lord, I shall mount up with wings as Eagles. I shall run and not be weary, I shall walk and not faint, in Jesus name.
4. I receive insights to know the mind of God while I wait on Him, in Jesus name.
5. I declare: All my life will I wait till change comes. No turning back. No compromise, in Jesus mighty name.
