Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 4: 3-4, Matthew 24:24

Memory VerseA little leaven [a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers] leavens the whole batch [it perverts the concept of faith and misleads the church]. Galatians 5:9 (AMP)

I celebrate the grace of God upon Apostle Christian Nwoke. There is a massive spiritual attack from hell against the media space, and the social media in particular. As Bible teachers, we shouldn’t be oblivious. Satan is throwing darts of divorce and many hearts are getting pierced. Undoubtedly, marital abuse in all its ramifications – physical, emotional, verbal, financial and sexual are totally forbidden as  Christians. If husbands are to love their wives, and wives are to submit to their husbands, then, there is no place for such things. Nevertheless, there is a place for tolerance, patience, and counselling as married couples who are from different backgrounds and are striving to be more like Jesus in everything they do, even in their marriage. If we do not strike a balance, then at the slightest provocation, the spirit of divorce may set in.

Dear Christian, who is your model? Christ or “social media trending false Bible study teachers”? Satan threw the dart of polygamy also in recent times. Notably, polygamy has no place in the New Testament. The covenant in Christ demands more consecration than the Old which Patriarchs like Abraham, David, and Solomon lived by. In the Old Testament, committing fornication as an act is a sin, but in the New Testament, just sexually lusting after a woman in your heart is sin already (Matthew 5: 27-28). If David could marry many wives, Peter could not because Peter was under the New Covenant domiciled in the Blood of Jesus, more powerful than the covenant of bulls and rams the former operated under.

QuoteLest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices – 2 Corinthians 2:11
