Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2: 20-21, 2 Corinthians 13:5

Memory Verse: Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 (AMP)

Credit to the grace of God upon Apostle Christian Nwoke. “Our spiritual hunger, especially of the younger generation must be purged. Young men are becoming crazily hungry for the microphone more than they are hungry for the Spirit of Righteousness and the Secret Place. This is the reason for Pentecost without Purity. May righteousness be the principal of your spiritual hunger. Be Hungry. Not for fame. Not for carnal grandeur. But for RIGHTEOUSNESS and as it please God other things will add up.

The result of a generation that seek fame without righteousness is that they will use Christ and His Gospel as a ladder to building an empire for themselves; they will raise Nimrods that will build multiple towers of Babel. True spiritual hunger is a blessing.”

Our motive and intention are the only things that get the attention of heaven. You can be a tither, worker, Pastor or G.O yet, you don’t know God. You can minister with power, with fire, with signs and wonders following and still, you haven’t encountered the man of Calvary.

Dear co-worker in the vineyard of God, what is the purpose of embarking on that long fast? To boost your spiritual CV? To join the league of those who fasted like Jesus?

I hope you have not joined the league of religious Christians who come to the house of God not for revival but in search of a life partner? Check your motive.

There are ushers, protocols, choristers, and Pastors who joined these prominent work force for the purpose of showcasing their body shape, expensive jewelries, flamboyant clothes, and latest hair do. Sir/ma, Jesus may be far away from you. Purge your motive.

Quote: All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, but the Lord weighs the motives – Proverbs 16:2 (NIV)

Prophetic Decree: May the Blood of Jesus purge you from every Babylonian and Egyptian mindset, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, prepare me a sanctuary, right and holy, tried and true.

2. I refuse to be busy but guilty, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, I am sorry in anyway I have used fame and glamour to build a name for myself.

4. O Lord, please purge me of every Babylonian idea in my mind, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, please strip me of vain glory, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 56, 120, 140-142
