Bible Reading: Colossians 2: 6-7

Memory VerseLet your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7 (NLT)

Sing the hymn: Deeper, Deeper in the love of Jesus on page 103. I hope you are not just trying to use God to achieve your dreams and goals? It is sad but true that many people are following God primarily because of what they can get from His hands without recourse to how they can partner with His purposes on earth. Before you get what you want, you will need God, and after you might have gotten what you want, you will still need God.

A Christian brother was aiming for a top managerial position in his company. One day, top echelons in the company invited him for a meeting. He got there to find out that it was an initiation into the occult. Don’t be surprised. There are many multinationals and government parastatals that do this. If you must climb into the management board, you must be willing to sell your soul to the devil. Unfortunately, they met the wrong guy. Before him was a calabash, and he was to donate his blood to it.

He simply brought out a mantle of anointed handkerchief and struck the calabash. The entire place caught fire. The whole meeting scattered. There is still a remnant in Israel who will not bow down to Baal. Imagine if this brother doesn’t know God for Himself? He could have fallen into the den of evil lions. Of course, he got the managerial position without selling his soul to the devil. They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

How fortified are you? How much of God do you know? How strong is the conviction of your faith? You better start growing deeper in depth because the dark places of this world are full of the habitation of cruelty. No great thing ever comes without a test.

Quote: If you fail in the day of battle, your strength is small.

Prophetic Decree: Anyone that shall come against your faith shall collide with the Rock of Ages, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. My Father, in this Year 2023, single me out by special treatment, in Jesus name.

2. O God intervene in my affairs against all contrary odds, by your hands of favour.

3. O Lord, suspend all natural laws and alter, cancel or suspend normal course of events for me and my family to be highly favored this Year, in Jesus name.

4. By the hands of God’s favour, I shall stand out and be outstanding, in Jesus name.

5. Uncommon testimonies that will magnify the glory of God in my life, manifest in my life by fire this year 2023, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 133

Hymn: Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus

1 Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus

Daily let me go;

Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,

More of grace to know.

Refrain:

Oh, deeper yet, I pray,

And higher ev’ry day,

And wiser, blessed Lord,

In Thy precious, holy word.

2 Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,

Take me deeper still,

Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,

And His perfect will.

3 Deeper, deeper! tho’ it cost hard trials,

Deeper let me go!

Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,

Let me fruitful grow.

4 Deeper, higher, ev’ry day in Jesus,

Till all conflict past,

Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image

Perfected at last.
