Bible Reading: Proverbs 4: 5-9
Memory Verse: If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13 (NLT)
- On sin: Suffering is better than sinning. There is more evil in a drop of sin than in an ocean of affliction. Better, burn for Christ, than turn from Christ – Charles Spurgeon.
- On the Bible: The Bible is a supernatural book and can be understood only by supernatural aid – A.W. Tozer
- On comfort zone: You will destroy your dreams if you stay in your comfort zone – Coach Lisle
- On hardship: Hardship often prepares an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny – C.S. Lewis
- On falling in love with Jesus: When you fall in love with Jesus, you fall out of love with the world.
- On the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit’s main ministry is not to give thrills but to create in us Christlike character – J. I. Packer
- On depending on God: Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done – C.S. Lewis
- On prayer: The more you pray, the less you panic. The more you worship, the less you worry.
- On work balance: A core worker died 2 days ago. HR is busy cleaning her office and a talk of posting for her position. Meanwhile a family is grieving the loss of a mother and wife. This is a reminder that you are replaceable at work but invaluable at home. Don’t make work your life.
- On fear: You may be afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow
- On life challenges: Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are – Bernice Johnson Reagon
- On growth: One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again – Abraham Maslow
- On criticism: Take criticism seriously, but not personally. If there is truth or merit in the criticism, try to learn from it. Otherwise, let it roll right off you – Hillary Clinton
- On giving thanks: So long we are receivers of mercy, we must be givers of thanks – Charles Spurgeon
Prophetic Decree: Receive the spirit of wisdom to reign in life, in Jesus name.
