Bible Reading:  Hebrews 11: 8-11

Memory VerseNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

It was a General of faith who said: Faith is a risk, and it is riskier not to take risk. A young chap once asked his father the meaning of faith? His father took him to a high storey and told him to jump down trusting that He will carry Him. He was scared but he did. Then his father told him that is the meaning of faith. Holding on to the Word of God despite your fears or in the face of obvious impossibilities.

Holding on to the Word of God in the face of obvious crossroads will definitely stretch your faith. If you dare pass through such seasons successfully, surely your convictions will be deepened. A dear sister was trusting God for a University admission and took the bull by the horn as she started attending lectures, doing assignments and tests and even going for practicals. All these without matriculation number! First admission list came out, her name wasn’t there.

The second batch of admission list came out, still her name wasn’t there. She kept trusting God and holding on to His promises. At a point, God gave her a prophetic instruction: “Go start Morning Cry”. She was hesitant initially but she eventually did. This is where many people miss it in their work with God. They fail to secure the much needed prophetic word/Instructions that will bring convert their faith into substance.

Imagine the way she ran to the notice board when she heard that the final admission list was out. God has done it. People who were mocking her for attending lectures and evangelising despite her dilemma came to confess their sins and submit to her faith. Brethren, what are you trusting God for in this season? Having secured A SURE WORD from Him, anchor your faith on Him. Then that becomes a risk worth taking. Many destinies have been grounded because they are too scared to take faith risk.

Secondly, be sensitive to receive other instructions from the Lord in addition to your faith. Usually such instructions are “prophetic triggers”. God could tell you to sow a seed, take a fast, or forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it, go on evangelism, etc. In the remaining days of this quarter, your testimony must manifest. Take that faith risk.

QuoteIt is riskier not to take faith-risk.

Prophetic Decree: Today, may the Lord increase your faith, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I repent of not taking a “destiny jump” when you prompted my heart.

2. I receive the gift of faith, in Jesus name.

3. I receive faith for my divine healing, in Jesus name.

4. I receive faith for my divine provision, in Jesus name.

5. I receive faith to walk through my fears and leap over my surrounding limitations, in Jesus name.
