Bible Reading:  Joshua 1:8

Memory Verse:  As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks, So my soul pants [longingly] for You, O God. Psalm 42:1 (AMP)

Saint Francis counsels, “Set aside [some time] every day … if possible early in the morning, when your mind is less distracted and fresher after the night’s rest. … If you can perform this exercise in church and find sufficient quiet there, that will be the easiest and most convenient place.”

DrD.K. Olukoya opined:

1. You can read from Genesis to revelation in days, in weeks. You can split the Bible to 15 chapters a day, and in 90 days, you’ve read it through.

2.  If you read 20 chapters a day, you will read the Bible in 60 days.

3. If you’re reading 4 chapters in a day, you can read the entire Bible in 11 months.

4. If you read between 3 and 4 chapters a day, you can read the Bible in a whole year.

5. If you’re reading about seven to eight chapters a day, you can read through the Bible in five months.

6. If you read ten chapters a day, you will read the whole Bible in 119 days.

7. But if you take the lazy approach of reading the Bible 1 chapter a day, it would take you three years, three months, and four days to finish reading the Bible.

8. Reading two chapters a day, you can read through the Bible in two years.

9. Now, if you read thirty-five chapters a day, you can complete reading the Bible in 40 days. The longest book in the Bible is the ‘Psalms’. It would take you just four hours and twenty-eight minutes to read through.

10. You can read the Bible through in a year by reading it less than twelve minutes a day. You do one reading each day, Monday through Friday. Two readings per day, Saturday and Sunday. You will get through the Bible in 140 days.

11. If you spend 15 minutes a day on the Bible, you can actually finish reading the whole Bible in 21 days.

12. In 45 days, you can read ‘Matthew, Mark, Luke and John’.

13. It takes about 65-75 hours to just read through the whole Bible.

QuoteRead the Bible at a chosen time each day, read the Bible while you may. Do not start until you pray. Ask, what does this passage say? Look for Him who is the way, find a lesson for today.
