Bible Reading: Habakkuk 2: 1-4

Memory Verse:  Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV)

Other men and women of vision include:

6Fanny Crosby: She was one of the most prolific hymnists in history, writing over 8,000 hymns and gospel songs, with over 100 million copies printed, despite being blind shortly after her birth. Some of Crosby’s best-known songs include “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour”, “Blessed Assurance”, “Jesus Is Tenderly Calling You Home”, “Praise Him, Praise Him”, “Rescue the Perishing”, and “To God Be the Glory”. She was blind physically, but not blind in her mind. That’s vision!

7. Discoveries and Innovation: All important discoveries, innovations, and inventions started with a vision. The invention of the electric bells by Alexander Graham Bell, the invention of the aeroplane by Orville and Wilbur Wright; space exploration, electric vehicles, and Artificial Intelligence by Elon Musk, the vision of a personal computer in every home by Bill Gates, etc.

8. Stephen Akintayo: From selling pop corn to being a global voice. He is Forbes best of Africa leading investment coach and real estate mogul. He is an author of 45 Books.

9Politics: No great transformational political leader ever emerged without a strong vision. Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s vision for: I. True Federalism (where different regions would have significant autonomy in managing their affairs). II. Economic development (where industrialization, agriculture, and education are the key drivers to national growth) and, III. Social Justice (where there is equality and policies that would improve the lives of the poor and marginalized groups) remains at the forefront of transformation in Nigeria especially in the Old Western Region.

10Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968):  Born in West Tuscumbia, Alabama, she lost her sight and her hearing after a bout of illness when she was 19 months old. She then communicated primarily using home signs until the age of seven, when she met her first teacher and life-long companion Anne Sullivan. Sullivan taught Keller language, including reading and writing. Guess what? This blind woman went ahead to become an American author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and lecturer. “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision” – Helen Keller.

11Jesus Christ: God had a vision to reconcile Man to Himself. Jesus, His only begotten Son became the sacrificial lamb (John 3:16). This is the greatest vision of all-time.

Quote:  Your vision must be strong enough to keep you awake while others are sleeping.

Prophetic Decree: May a vision for transformation and innovation that will transcend to a generational legacy grip your mind, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

2. I receive grace to become a visionary that will change my world, in Jesus name.

3. Holy Spirit, please give me a vision for personal, family, and societal transformation, in Jesus name.
