Bible Reading: Exodus 3:1-4

Memory Verse:  Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forestIsaiah 32:15 (NKJV)

A divine encounter occurs when a man experiences the power of the almighty suddenly.

While on a village outreach, the only man who had a motorcycle was bitten by a snake. There was no hospital or first aid facility around. Suddenly, this brother remembered he had authority in Christ Jesus. He stood upon Luke 10:19 to decree the Word of God. Right there on the spot, the snake venom came out. Do you think the unbelieving motorcyclist will not immediately surrender his life to Christ after that encounter?

I once shared with you how one of the sons of the bond woman waylaid this Pastor. He said, “I heard you preach that your God can heal. Prove him by healing my lame child.” He wouldn’t allow the Pastor who had just come to get some groceries in a supermarket go home until his daughter arrived. The Pastor cast out the spirit of insanity and the young girl slept for three full days, and was completely delivered. That encounter converted him and his entire household to Christ. What many preaching could not do, a life testimony with the God of power did.

She was a graduate of theology from the University yet without a definite encounter with Christ. She had every form of godliness, but denied the power thereof. Though she could quote many scriptures by heart, she didn’t have an encounter with God. Friends, knowledge of God is not the same as ‘knowing God.’ Borne out of bitterness, resentment, and hatred, she went on a revenge mission, and experienced the raw power of God to save and deliver. She shot at a born again child of God, but the gun wouldn’t cork. She shot into the air, and it fired.

There and then, she surrendered to the Almightiness of Jehovah. Indeed, knowledge of God is not the same as knowing God.

Be Warned: Don’t be like the children of Israel who experienced the power of God daily in their lives, yet wasn’t transformed by the same power because their heart was dull to hearing. They experienced the pillar of cloud by day, and a wall of fire by night. They saw God parted the Red Sea. They ate manna, food for angels, from heaven daily. Until you allow the work of the Holy Spirit, even several encounters may not lead to transformation or convictions.

Quote:  Every divine encounter is expected to lead to a deeper revelation, transformation, conviction, and love for Jesus.

Prophetic Decree: Let the channels of your Spirit open up for the Lord to be crowned King in your spirit, soul, and body, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. After the order of Moses in Exodus 3:1-4, may I be able to say, “Here I am,” borne out of every encounter, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to grow daily in my convictions and love for Jesus, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please take me deeper in the School of power that I may win more souls for You, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to convert every encounter into transformation, in Jesus name.

5. I refuse to be a bench warmer, who goes to Church but doesn’t have an encounter with the God of the Church, in Jesus name.
