Bible Reading: John 15: 4-9

Memory Verse:  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4 (NIV)

It was God’s servant Rev. Austin Ukporhe who said: In today’s world driven by speed, instant gratification, and quick results, we need to remind ourselves that the ways of God remain ancient, deliberate, and process-oriented. He is a King and will not alter His standard or compromise His processes for anyone.

As a result, we must be at home with the most profound truth that walking wth God requires patience and conviction. It is not a sprint; it is a long, rugged journey marked by trials, refining fires, and divine timings.

God’s goal is to make each of us into a certain kind of person. He is more interested in what you become than what you accomplish. And so He desires to take you through a process that would make you into the kind of person who can patiently wait for the fulfilment of His will. It is in our interest to have the same desire. 

The Apostle James echoes this in James 1:2-4 (KJV): “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

The first step in being complete, entire, mature, and equipped for divine assignment is to be patient in walking with God. The trials we often see as a result of delays are actually the testing of our faith, the very life we live in Christ. And the end goal of every test is to produce patience, also known as endurance of perseverance. 

Quote:  God is more interested in what you become than what you accomplish, and so, He desires to take you through a process.

Prophetic Decree:  Today, you shall receive extraordinary grace for deep patience and deep conviction, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus 

1. Lord, I am sorry for wanting a quick-fix in my walk with you.

2. Holy Spirit, please help me abide in God whether it is convenient or not, in Jesus name. 

3. In today’s world driven by speed, instant gratification, and quick results, remind me Lord that your ways are ancient, deliberate, and process-oriented. 

4. I receive grace to walk with God in patience and convictions, in Jesus name. 

5. Lord Jesus, help me to abandon myself on your altar, in Jesus name.
