Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2:3
Memory Verse: And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23 (ESV)
Love intoxicates. So also is passion! Passion is an intangible noun with visible, undeniable acts. You can’t love God passionately, and it will not reflect in your words, actions, and intentions. Other ways to gauge your scale of passion include:
5. Consistency in the Secret Place: Public moments can be powerful, but the secret place tells the real story. Passion is revealed in quiet moments. When you are alone with God, with no applause, no spotlight – just surrender! What you do with God when no one is watching reveals how much you truly love Him. Psalm 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High…”
6. Burden for Souls and God’s Purposes: When passion for God grows, concern for what matters to Him grows too. You begin to care more deeply about people, about the lost, and about seeing God honoured in every area of life. John 4:35 says, “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.” A heart on fire for God cannot remain indifferent to His agenda. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19).
7. Willingness to Be Shaped and Corrected: Revelation 3:19 says, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” Passionate believers are teachable. They don’t fight God’s correction, they welcome it. They value closeness with Him more than comfort or pride. They don’t resist God’s hand; they yield to it. “Whom the Lord loves He disciplines.” (Hebrews 12:6).
8. Perseverance Through Dry Seasons: Matthew 24:13 says, “He who endures to the end shall be saved.” Real passion isn’t proven in emotional highs, but in quiet faithfulness. Even when prayer feels dry and answers seem delayed, a passionate heart stays planted. Real passionate heart survives the wind. “Though the fig tree may not blossom… yet I will rejoice in the Lord.” (Habakkuk 3:17–18).
9. Willingness to Endure Suffering: In the wake of Gen Z generation, few believers talk about the Cross. The Cross of Christ cannot be modernised. It will forever remain old-rugged. Your passion for Christ will cost you something someday. If not now, then in the future. It could cost you your friends, your job, your location, your career, your companion, etc. A passionate believer does not run from the cross, they carry it with love. “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23).

Quote: The man who would truly know God must give time to Him — A.W. Tozer
Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to love God unashamedly; withholding nothing, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
Lord, ignite my heart again. Where my passion has cooled off for You, please breathe Your fire. Where routine has replaced my intimate relationship with Your Presence in the secret place, please restore my hunger. Let my love for You be deep, pure, and lasting. Teach me to seek You not just for what You give, but for who You are now and always, in Jesus name. Amen.
