Bible Reading: Luke 1: 26-31

Memory Verse May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17 (NIV)

For 430 years, the children of Israel toiled in Egypt but never for once handled gold, but in just one day of favour, the whole Egypt handed over their gold to them. For 430 years! Mind you, the gold was available but inaccessible. Why? The mark of disfavour was upon them. They were in the house of bondage. May the fire of God roast every garment of disfavour upon your life, in Jesus mighty name. Exodus 3:21 (NKJV) says, “And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.”

Mary was not the only virgin in Israel. Chastity was the order of the day in her days. One thing that singled her out was: High favour. Luke 1:28 (KJV), “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”

There are many people with good or better qualifications than you have. What will distinguish you can only be favour. In Esther 2: 8-9, the scripture said succinctly that what singled out Esther from the park of other well qualified contestants was favour. “She pleased him and won his favor.” Esther 2:9a (NIV). That means God’s favour does not despise competency or proficiency in your daily work as a business man, student, artisan, or professional, but it places you above your peers. God’s favour singles a person out amongst the best. God’s favour has the capacity to nullify your human weakness, mistakes, and seemingly deficiencies until you are the best amongst the best. Before you submit that proposal, scholarship letter, contract bill, etc, command the favour of God upon such a document. Favour has a fragrance. God’s favour carries the aroma of divine approval. One way to contact the favour of God which is often neglected is through witnessing. Daniel 12:3 (KJV), “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Quote: One day of favour can wipe out many years of labour.

Prophetic Decree:  Henceforth, you shall be smeared with the perfume of favour, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Blood of Jesus, wash away every mark of disfavour upon my head, in Jesus name.

2. Every garment of disfavour upon me, catch fire, in Jesus name.

3. Favour shall speak for me where I have no voice, in Jesus name.

4. Today, I put on the garment of honour, glory and favour, in Jesus name.

5. Favour that swallows disfavour, come upon my life, in Jesus name.

6. Fragrance of divine favour, smear my life, in Jesus name.
