Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 12: 1-15

Memory Verse: Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Galatians 6:7 (NLT)

This life is a mystery. Many of the things that happen in life is simply because it has been programmed first in the spirit realm. Nothing (good or evil) happens by chance. The devotional of today is to teach us on the need to be careful with the way we act and treat others.

  1. A sister refused to get married. She said she has observed an evil family trend. All the ladies that got married died in their husband’s house. Fortunately, she has a clue to the root of the problem. While growing up with her grandmother, a particular maid lived with them. One day, her grandmother shut the door and brought out a mortal and beat this maid mercilessly. Just at the point of death, she issued a curse, “May all the husband of your female children beat them also to death”. Thereafter, she died. For very flimsy excuses, such as not putting enough salt in the soup, three of her siblings died in the hands of their husband. Words spoken in pain carries much weight in the spirit realm talkless of words spoken in pain at the point of death. Her grandmother’s cruelty invited the tormentors (evil spirits) into that family.
  2. In a particular Church, some elders were against this promising pastor. These elders conspired with a lady to accuse this young pastor of rape so that he may be sent away from the Church’s headquarters. The pastor was thereafter transferred into a remote village. Out of frustration, the pastor left ministry and started farming in the village. Your calling shall not be wasted, in Jesus name. Now, this lady couldn’t get married. She kept suffering from several heartbreaks. Fortunately, she met a genuine man of God who traced her perennial singlehood to this evil conspiracy after wasting around for 25 years. The solution to her problems was not prayer and fasting but complete repentance and restitution. She did all she could to locate this now old pastor in Cross River, Nigeria in order to plead for his forgiveness and blessings. Guess what? Two days later, this lady died. Though she was unable to marry on earth, we trust she made heaven. Can you imagine what must have become the lot of the evil elders and perhaps their children?
Be warned: Whatsoever you sow, you will surely reap (Gal. 6:7). Don’t confuse the grace of God together with the justice of God. The same God that forgives is the God who administers justice.

Quote: Living is seeding. Watch the seeds you sow.

Prophetic Decree: I cut you off from all generational curses, in Jesus name.
    Prayer Focus
  3. The God of all justice, hallowed be thy name.
  4. Lord Jesus, I repent of all evil I might have committed. Let your mercies speak against such consequences, in Jesus name.
  5. I plead the Blood of Jesus against all the activities of tormentors, in Jesus name.
  6. I have been crucified with Christ, today, I severe my life and generation yet unborn from the verdict of hell crying over our heads, in Jesus name.
  7. Blood of Jesus speak better words than the voice of justice crying over my head, in Jesus name.
