The retired soldier in our devotional for the past two days eventually swirled above the stormy seas of bitterness, and went into salt business. He started so small because of obvious reasons. The God of a New beginning stepped in, and his business began to boom. Banks began to loan him money and soon, he became a wholesaler of salt. But….the disastrous hurricane that hit his country around this time had a fatal effect on his business. The roof of his warehouse was literally carried away by the hurricane. The entire salt was washed away by water. I guess you will say, “O God, why this man again”?
Please listen: What happens to us is not as important as how we respond. Life is in the business of throwing just anything at you, but, you owe your destiny a responsibility of responding positively. His Pastor heard of this and hurried straight to his warehouse. In his thinking, he thought this man will forever be bitter against God when he remembered how difficult it was for him to forgive his former fiancée. To his surprise when he got to the warehouse, this soldier turned salt merchant had packed all the salt sacks together, stood on it, raised up his hands into the sky and was passionately worshipping Jehovah. Today, the God who doesn’t change but changes situations has turned around the captivity of his Zion making him a millionaire in dollars. Worship brings the Manifest Presence of God into a situation.
