Bible Reading: Genesis 13: 14-15

Memory Verse:  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12 (KJV)

Hear me beloved: There is always a next level. Even when you get to the position of a Professor, you can still decide to be relevant. You can be retired but not tired. Highly revered Professor E. B. Lucas taught me in the University long after he had retired. The peak only exists in your mind. Reject limiting mindset. Do you know that China was struggling as a Third World nation. China was far behind Japan and America in terms of development but today, there are countries that cannot be compared to China in terms of development.

The economy of China is becoming a threat to the economy of America because of the rapidity of its growth. The amazing thing is that the President of China told the people of China that every one of them should realize that they are still a Third World nation and that the mentality that they have arrived should not sink into their heads. What a mentality! No wonder they are where they are today. Pastor Paul Enenche once said, “Arriving too soon is arriving too small. When you reach the peak, you are set for the pit. The reason for the abortion of several destinies is the decision to conform to premature contentment. It does not matter your current level in life, as long as you are alive, there is still another level you can attain.”

1 COR. 9:11(NIV) SAYS, “IF WE HAVE SOWN SPIRITUAL SEED AMONG YOU, IS IT TOO MUCH IF WE REAP A MATERIAL HARVEST FROM YOU?”.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive grace to keep pressing forward till Jesus comes.

Prayer Focus

1. Sing the hymn: “I’m pressing on the upward way” on page 105.

2. Foundational strongholds in my mindset, break by fire, in Jesus name.

3. I refuse to be complacent. I must achieve my aim, in Jesus name.

4. Doors of continuous favour, my life is available, open by fire, in Jesus name.

5. I decree that I have the mind of Christ. I cannot be bound, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  1 Chronicles 26-29, Psalm 127

Hymn

1.  I’m pressing on the upward way,

New heights I’m gaining ev’ry day;

Still praying as I’m onward bound,

“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Refrain:

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand

By faith, on heaven’s tableland;

A higher plane than I have found,

Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2. My heart has no desire to stay

Where doubts arise and fears dismay;

Though some may dwell where these abound,

My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3. I want to live above the world,

Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;

For faith has caught a joyful sound,

The song of saints on higher ground.

4. I want to scale the utmost height,

And catch a gleam of glory bright;

But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found,

“Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”
