Thinking that your enlargement, academic and life breakthroughs will only come by prayers is a mistake that many people make. As you pray, you must work hard. Never forget the three kinds of work every believer must master if he will experience Divine involvement in their lives:
(a) Knee work (prayers) (b) Mouth work (confession of the Word of God) and (c) Leg work (hard and strategic work). It is the combination of these three categories of work that gives birth to real, enduring success.
When your work increases, cutting church time down is a big mistake. People make this mistake because they forget their Source, until the devil cuts them down. When your work increases, it is not church or fellowship time that you cut down. It is your sleep and social visit time that you cut down. When your work increases, increase your quiet time and your Bible study time. If you are going to be academically & financially successful, do not take Sundays as a chance to travel. God’s time is very important, keep it for Him.
Generally, most people that are serious with spiritual things are not practical enough to succeed; and most people that are serious with practical things are not spiritual enough to survive. You must decide to be a breed that will balance “practicality” with “spirituality”. God brings revelations and directions through your “spirituality”, but it is your “practicality” (work) that turns the revelation into tangible wealth for you.
Wrong work or working with a wrong attitude is another mistake that people make that affects their academic & financial lives. Don’t ever work less. Most people are financially unsuccessful because they are doing a wrong work or working with a wrong mindset. Build an excellent attitude and locate yourself in the midst of the right work. Remember that attitude is a very strong force. It is your attitude that determines what you will become.

Prayer Focus: I receive great grace to live a life of infallible proofs this year in the name of Jesus. Lord, help me to adjust my life to build a right, sound and great attitude to work. I come against every power saying I will not maximize my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.
