BE HUMBLE: DO ALL THINGS TO THE GLORY OF GOD

BE HUMBLE: DO ALL THINGS TO THE GLORY OF GOD

Bible Reading: Colossians 3:17, 1 Peter 4:11

Memory Verse: Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

While people honour you as a result of your position or contribution to the work of God, please do well to genuinely return all glory to Jesus. I beg of you, please don’t allow people clap or shower praise on you until you develop the heart of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4: 28-33). All glory must genuinely go back to God.

Dear Minister, after the wonderful ministration with signs and wonders following plus special accolades, were you still humble to give glory back to God genuinely.

By strength shall no man prevail. The Holy Spirit remains the one behind all your exploits. For without Him, you can do nothing. Please never forget. A dear man of God said after all the accolades, he will lay down flat in his room together with the money, plaque, etc, and every other thing given as honorarium, and return the glory back to God.

Now, they call you Papa as the Campus fellowship coordinator or NCCF State president, and you think your time has come? I hope you are not using the privilege God has graciously granted unto you to propose to 3-7 sisters at the same time? “There are no entitlement in titles, you better mandatorily focus on your divine mandate.” Always remind yourself: I am a privileged brother whom God has committed His sheep unto. Tell yourself such words in humility. Learn to speak sense to yourself.

It is a privilege to be the leader house captain, labour prefect, captain of the school, etc. What an awesome privilege. But, you need to stay calm, beloved. There is a life outside school. Make sure you discharge your duties in wisdom and humility. It is one thing to be a captain in school, and it is another thing to be a captain in life. All glory must belong to God.

As the boss, make sure you don’t maltreat the junior workers. In this life, what comes around goes around. Tide can change. The manager today can become a junior staff tomorrow. Time and chance happens to them all. Bring out the file of that worker you have vowed will not rise in that establishment, and promote him/her today. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 (CSB)

QuoteThose who give glory to God are daily imbibing the virtue of humility.

Prophetic Decree: Be clothe with the cloak of humility, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Heavenly Father, please help me to be lost in You, in Jesus name.

2. Holy Spirit, please cloth me with the garment of humility, in Jesus name.

3. Holy Spirit, please strip me off myself, in Jesus name.

4. Unlike Nebuchadnezzar, I refuse to take God’s glory for the exploits He is doing through me (Dan. 4:28-33).

5. Unlike Belshazzar, I shall not throw caution into the wind. I shall remain humble before God, in Jesus name (Dan.5: 1-5).
