Bible Reading: Ephesians 3: 16-19

Memory Verse And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 (NLT)

Do you remember the concept of factor of safety as an engineering student? Better still, do you remember the concept of tolerance as a science student? Perhaps you can remember the meaning of contingency plan if you have ever got anything to do with project management or human resource management. In all of these, there is a common denominator: There are corrective plans to cater for a supposed mistake or excesses.

That’s the spirit! I don’t think there is one man who will walk through life without a scar, error or mistake at one point or the other. The humanity in our divinity on this side of eternity hardly caters for such rare possibility. No wonder God makes covenant with man. He puts Himself “under pressure” to be committed to such man despite his many flaws in his journey in time. Psalm 103:14 (NLT) says, “For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust”. You remember the sure covenant of the house of David? (Isaiah 55:3).

Why then are you looking back at your mistakes as if there is no sufficient provisions to take care of your inadequacies in Him? Kill that pride. Brother, you are liable to mistake once in a while. Forget the details surrounding such mistake, but learn from its lessons and move on. Sister, I know you disappointed yourself. That’s fine. Infact, coming to that state of mind is enough proof that you may be truly repentant.

Dust yourself off, and fly again. Peter disappointed Jesus in the scriptures, but Jesus kept forgave him and kept reaching out to him. Can you imagine Peter going back to fishing when he was meant to take care of God’s sheep after an intensive three (3) years discipleship training? Amazingly, the love of the Father kept reaching out to him. God has not given up on you, beloved. Don’t give up on yourself. Embrace the Father’s love.

Quote: The Abrahamic covenant has sufficient space to cater for all your mistakes.

Prophetic Decree: I silence the voice of demons whispering defeat into your soul, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Declare: I am complete in Jesus. I am not a failure. My past cannot define me, in Jesus name.

2. My Father, please give me a new glory, in Jesus name.

3. I tear every garment of shame surrounding my life, in Jesus name.

4. Today, I trade my shame for fame, pain for gain, and hurt for love, in Jesus name.

5.Holy Spirit, empower me to forget my present, and give me courage to fight for my future, in Jesus name.

6.Every stronghold of pride in me, die, in Jesus mighty name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:   Psalm 5, 38, 41-42
