Bible Reading: Gen 5:23-24, Acts 13:36

Memory Verse: Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Gen 5:24(NIV)

He locked himself up for 16 months praying and fasting. It was during that time that God spoke to him about a prayer mountain where He will use him to meet the needs of the people. After God had spoken to him, he went to meet with the late Timi of Ede, in Osun State, Nigeria who was his friend in 1944. It was the Timi who brought him to the current location of the mountain which then was a thick forest.

He died in 1992. This one-time Islamic scholar experienced God’s manifold grace. He was struck with blindness just about 15 days to his marriage while trying to extract nuts from a palm tree. It was the blindness that brought him to Christ in a rare encounter with Prophet Ayo Babalola who had founded a prayer mountain in Ikoyi, Osun State, Nigeria as at that time.

He searched for healing in several other places to no avail until Christ came to his rescue. But then he had to also contend with the problem of having still births. He was in fact named Baba Abiku (meaning father of still born children) because his children were dying at birth. But God also turned that around. The year he gave birth to a surviving child, his name changed. People started calling him Baba Abiye (meaning father to living children). That was how he came about the name Baba Abiye. The prayer mountain thus came to be known as Ori Oke Baba Abiye. For years it has become a meeting place for those who are seeking God for a touch in their lives. Though the vestiges of a forest still hung around the mountain arena, the place is gradually wearing the garb of a city.

Quote:  What legacy will you leave behind after your departure from earth?

Prophetic Decree: May you keep making positive impact long after death in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. I rebuke every power frustrating my destiny, in Jesus name.
  2. Destiny killers in my foundation, die, in Jesus name.
  3. My Father change my story and give me a new name today, in Jesus name.
  4. The glory of the latter house, appear, in Jesus name.
  5. My generation and generation yet unborn shall hear of me, in the name of Jesus.
