Bible Reading: Isaiah 1:18-20, Hebrews 4:16
Memory Verse: Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a broken and humbled heart God will not despise. Psalm 51:17 (BST)
She lived a wayward life during her youthful days. Due to several abortions that went bad, she got her womb damaged and as a result, doctors confirmed that she may not be able to give birth again. Interestingly, the man responsible for all her abortions decided to marry her. They both repented and trusted God for a miracle. Consultant Gynaecologist said she had 10-15% chance of conception should she decide to go for a surgical operation. Her Pastor encouraged her to go for it. 10% is better than 0%.
On the morning of the operation, while she took a brief nap, God opened her eyes. She saw herself dead after a surgical session. She called on her Pastor who said that God is either saying she shouldn’t go for the operation, or today wasn’t the right time. Hence, they cancelled the operation. Brethren, this God is a good God. Do you know that few months after, she suddenly discovered she was pregnant. Dr. Jesus, the chief medical consultant of heaven and earth worked on her personally.
Few Lessons
1. Yes, you could have sinned. But, your attitude after the sinful act is more important than the sin committed. Are you broken? Are you genuinely repentant?
2. Never be too afraid to run back to the throne of grace no matter your dirty life. The nature of God is love. Nevertheless, be warned: You cannot continue in sin and expect grace to abound. “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?” (Romans 6:1-2 NLT).
3. A broken and sincere heart will always attract the attention of God. There is no closed case with God.
4. But for His mercies, none of us is qualified for the goodness of God. Nevertheless, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Quote: Don’t allow the memory of your past deprive you of the best of God for your present and future. No more condemnation – Romans 8:1
Prophetic Decree: Let every voice of condemnation and guilt be silenced, in Jesus name.
