3. Playing Hard-To-Get: Many have this notion about not accepting a marriage proposal in a hurry and they engage in delay tactics so that the brother will not think they are cheap or desperate. You tell your suitor to give them nine months to pray, you won’t pick his calls, ignore his messages, behave as if you are not interested even though you are dying on the inside and you truly love the brother. Don’t worry, very soon you will hear the brother is getting married to another sister, then your eyes will be open. Then, you will say, “Can’t he wait for me”. Wait for you! Your personal convictions is very important plus the prayers of your pastor and parents, then you are good to go. Maximize the moment.

4. Proud Spirit: You have a proud spirit when you talk to your suitors in a rude manner because you are beautiful, educated, and anointed. You have a proud spirit when you feel that every brother that greets you is not your class, so you keep ignoring and looking down on them. You have a proud spirit when you don’t greet anyone except those who ride exotic cars and wear expensive clothes. You might have allowed the spirit of pride to make you look down and trivialize your God sent to partner .

5. Denominational / Tribal Spirit: From Genesis to Revelation, there was never a time God said you MUST marry someone from your church denomination or tribe. MARRY GOD’S COUNSEL FOR YOU. God won’t sponsor a marriage He didn’t commission. If God is leading you to another denomination or tribe, kindly obey, and stop delaying your wedding celebration.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, please deliver me from the lies I tell myself, in Jesus name.

2. Holy Spirit, please wash me of every negative mindset about marriage, in Jesus name.

3. Holy Spirit, please reveal every proud aspect of my life to me, and help me to deal with it, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to fight against pride and every work of the flesh standing between me and my marital breakthrough, in Jesus name.

5. I receive a shift in my mindset, in Jesus name.
