Bible Reading: Matthew 19: 4-6

Memory Verse: ... ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?  Matthew 19:5 (ESV)

6. Bad Character: When you talk rashly to people, get uncontrollably angry, dress indecently, dishonour your parents even in the presence of a suitor, who do you think will marry you? Don’t be handsomely/beautifully packaged without but poisonous within. Beauty could attract a suitor but it is character that retains him/her.

7. Your physical appearance: Generally, a man is moved by what he sees and a woman is moved by what she hears. Even in marriage, you shouldn’t stop telling your wife “sweet things”. She’s never tired of such, bro. You can’t be trusting God for a spouse and you don’t dress well, don’t smell nice, and you have body/mouth odour. Not everybody is spiritually strong enough to hold on to what God has revealed when your appearance shows contrary. Dress well and decently. Cultivate a good sense of colour combination. Say no to colour riot in your dressing.

8. Expensive engagement and marriage demands: Cut your coat according to your size. Live within your capacity per time. You don’t need a big wedding to have a good marriage. Can I advise parents? Please don’t muzzle your children in the name of marriage. Engagement list has driven many suitors away from marrying women they truly love from certain tribes. This ought not to be so.

9. Spiritual Problem:  Dreams of missing hair, stolen crown, stolen wedding gown, dream of suitors turning their back against each other, etc, are suggestive of imminent marital mishap. You have to be prayerful. Prayer isn’t only for Pastors. Destroy every evil curse, evil covenant, and evil family marital pattern standing against your marital joy.

Prophetic Decree: Every foundational power tying down your marital breakthrough is dislodged, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Holy Spirit, please prepare me for my spouse in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace for self control, in Jesus name.

3. My character within and withal shall endear me to my spouse, in Jesus name.

4. May my words be seasoned with grace, in Jesus name.

5. I command the heaven and earth to cooperate with my marriage, in Jesus name.
