CAUSES OF TEENAGE ABORTION AND PRE-ABORTION EFFECT

Bible reading: 1 Peter 1:14-16.

Memory Verse: He who digs a pit will fall into it, And whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent. Ecclesiastes 10:8.

CAUSES OF TEENAGE ABORTION

  1. Lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
  2. Reducing fear of the Lord in the hearts of students.
  3. Bad effect of the media. The media paints sex as cheap and without any serious consequences.
  4. Government policies:  Some countries legalize abortion among teenagers even without the consent of the parents.
  5. Distribution of free condoms in Secondary schools: This act indirectly encourages illicit sex; teenage pregnancy and consequently, abortion.

 PRE-ABORTION EFFECT:

  1. Fear: Fear of the very act of abortion.
  2. Suicidal thoughts: Due to the fear of the unknown, many do consider suicide as an option.
  3. Psychological trauma/ Stress: Such a person’s mind is not at peace.
  4. Shame.
  5. Inferiority Complex: Amidst friends, a person considering abortion could be withdrawn.

Key Point: For every of your action in life, there’re consequences. Beware!

Prayer Point:

  1. Father Lord, help me not to jeopardize my future, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Holy Spirit, baptize me with the spirit of holiness and purity, in Jesus name.
