CHRISTMAS: MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER CELEBRATION

CHRISTMAS: MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER CELEBRATION

Bible Reading:  Matthew 11: 28-29

Memory VerseFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)

One thing I’ve learnt: always think differently. When the crowd rushes in one direction, I pause and ask: What’s driving this belief?

Take Christmas for example. These days, the excitement is often more emotional than sacred. Yet, Christmas is more than food, gifts, and decorations. It is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, who left heaven to die for mankind (John 3:16).

After the fall of Man in Eden, humanity could not be reconciled to God. The blood of animals couldn’t remove sin. Only a Saviour could bridge that gap. Jesus came, bringing hope to a dying world.

Isaiah 9:6 says: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Do you long for a new kind of leadership in your life? Jesus carries the government on His shoulders.

Has this year been lacking in wonder? Try Jesus, the Wonderful One who works wonders.

Are you confused about your next step in career, marriage, relocation, finances? He is the Counsellor.

Has life felt ordinary? He is the Mighty God who works great things.

Is your family trapped in generational problems – poverty, sickness, repeated failure? He is the Everlasting Father who can rewrite your story.

Do you crave for peace? Come to the Prince of Peace.

Don’t let today be just about eating and drinking. Settle the most important matter – the salvation of your soul. Give your life wholly to Jesus today, as Saviour and Lord.

QuoteDon’t merely celebrate a king Jesus. Accept the governance of His kingdom.

Prophetic Decree: I break the evil authority of sin and self warring against

your soul, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Today, I accept Jesus as the new administrator over my soul, in Jesus name.

2. My Father, come into my life today and make it wonderful, in Jesus name.

3. Great Counsellor, establish your counsel over my life today, in Jesus name.

4. In your mighty power, O Lord, do mighty things in my life today, in Jesus name.

5. Today, the Everlasting Father shall change the narrative of my family lineage, in Jesus name.

6. Prince of Peace, please fill my heart with your peace now and throughout Year 2026, in Jesus name.

SEEING BEYOND THE SURFACE

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...
