Bible Reading: Galatians 5:16-26, Matthew 12: 43-45

Memory Verse:  Later, Jesus met the man in the temple and told him, “You are now well. But don’t sin anymore or something worse might happen to you.” John5:14(CEV)

This year, you must deliberately block all the doors to the work of the devil into your life. One way to do this is to work against the flesh. The flesh represents our sinful nature. The Old man. The Adamic nature. The Sinful nature. Who you are before you became born again. Your philosophies, values, ideologies, and psychology about your world, your neighbour and even about yourself before you gave your life to Christ. The flesh sometimes finds its way into our new life now that we are born again.

The flesh represents the way we have been configured from our mother’s womb, our natural tendencies, the way we have been wired to think while we were in darkness, etc. “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalm 51:5. The flesh simply represent a system of operation of the fallen man which is usually contradictory to the ways of God. No wonder the Bible says in Romans 12:2a “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

Many have been going for deliverance for many years yet, their problems still persists. I believe there are deeply rooted foundational problems that will take time and artillery bombardment of strategic prayers borne out of revelation before they can be solved. I must also say that if the ladder which the enemy uses to climb into your life is not destroyed, the problem will still find a way of coming back using the same ladder. With the work of the flesh such as anger, addiction to alcohol, womanizing, drugs, dishonour to constituted authority (such as your parents, guardian, pastor), pride, disobedience, unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, etc, in your life, you will always open the gates of your life to myriads of spiritual attacks. Something must change in your life if you must generate a better testimony this year.

A Christian brother was lured to an ungodly birthday party where alcohol was served at the advice of an herbalist. That was the entry point of this strange woman into his life. If not for the mercy of God and the ministry of intercession, he would have been long gone. See, the devil is just looking for one tiny hole on the wall of your life. No wonder the Bible says, “Flee from all appearances of evil”. The spiritual atmosphere of where you live, where you eat, where you drink, where you work, where you play are all very important this Year 2021. “Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)

Prophetic Decree: I declare all ancient doors into your life closed, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for your loving kindness

2. My Father reconfigure my mentality, in Jesus name.

3. I close all ancient doors into my life, in Jesus name.

4. I retrieve the secrets of my life which the devil is using against me, in Jesus name.

5. Any inherited weakness in my life, die, in Jesus name.

6. My Father deliver me from the sin that easily besets me, in Jesus name.
