Bible Reading: Gen. 24: 34 -51

Memory Verse: Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the LORD; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. Here is Rebekah; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the LORD has directed. Genesis 24: 51-52 (NIV)

There is a height of shamelessness among young people known as co-habitation. As the name implies, this is a situation whereby two opposite sex who are not legally married live together in the same house under the same roof. Wait a minute. Let us look at this from a cultural perspective. Lady, how can you move in with a guy who has not paid your bride price? You move in with a guy who knows little or nothing about your family. It shows you are cheap! You have got no price tag on your head. You are not a Jewel of invaluable worth.  All was settled and paid for before Rebekah could live with Isaac. The same goes for Ruth and Boaz (Ruth 3).

No circumstance or financial pressure should ever make you stoop so low to that point even if you are an orphan. Many are living as campus couples under the same roof. Disaster looms the day a misunderstanding occurs between the “love birds” and from past occurrences, the lady involved suffers greater heartache and loss. Imagine what could be the lot of children who emerge from such ungodly relationship? They are under a curse.

Listen to me, beloved! A relationship not founded upon Biblical principles will in no time crumble. Jesus alone is the only firm foundation to life and good living. Make your relationship right before God.

Action Word: Device an exit plan today if you are living with a man you are not legally married to. Seek further counsel today.

Quote: Co- habitation often leads to “co-demonisation”.

Prophetic Decree: Let every curse you have brought yourself by disobeying the law of God be cancelled by the Blood of Jesus.

Prayer Focus:

  1. I reject every trap of the enemy to make me a victim of unfavourable circumstance, in Jesus name.
  2. O Lord my Father, make me a vessel unto honour, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I will not fracture my future in my today, in Jesus name.
  4. Powers that alter destiny, my destiny is not available, in Jesus name.
  5. Lord Jesus, raise help for me from uncommon places, in Jesus name.
