Bible Reading: Genesis 12:1-4
Memory Verse: Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1 (NKJV)
Do you know God can demand something sacrificial from you? Count it all joy and not a burden if He does demand. Really, He wants to make you a Master showpiece of His glory when He does. One day, in the city of the Ur of Chaldees, a man called Abram woke up to receive a strange instruction. “Now [in Haran] the LORD had said to Abram, “Go away from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you” Genesis 12:1 (AMP).
That’s strange isn’t it? Leaving the known for the unknown, the sure for the unsure, the cultural shock and above all, no definite address for relocation given. That’s God for you! Please listen very carefully at this junction as this is the case of many believers. They pay their tithe, they pay their Church’s unit fee, they fast, they pray for deliverance, and do all other things EXCEPT obedience to certain specific (not just general) instructions God commanded, which usually is not convenient to the flesh. Hence, they have remained shucked for many years on the same spot.
Sincerely, I want to see many Christians rise not only spiritually but in other aspects of their lives – maritally, financially, academically, career, etc. If this Year must be a year of manifestation of the Sons of God, you must be completely lost in obedience to the will and counsel of God for your life. You must die to your natural inclinations. Die to self. Subscribe to the frequency of God. Diligently obey commanded sacrificial instructions. Head knowledge will fail you.
Quote: God’s commanded instructions may stretch you but it will make you a spectacle of His glory in the short/long run.
Prophetic Decree: Receive your deliverance from spiritual deafness and dumbness, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. O Lord, deliver me from itchy ears, in Jesus name.
2. I bind and cast out the spirit of disobedience, in Jesus name.
3. Power of resurrection, resurrect my inner man, in Jesus name.
4. Holy Spirit, please don’t leave me alone to go my own way.
5. The ark of the covenant of mercy shall not depart from my life, in Jesus name.
