Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:12-20

Yesterday we studied 6 keys areas where you need to be disciplined. The seventh one is sex. The fastest way to knocking down the engine of your destiny is through sexual pleasure outside marriage. Sex is a physical and spiritual exchange of virtues. No sex is casual. No sex leaves you the same.

COMMON LIES ABOUT PRE-MARITAL SEX INCLUDE:

a. It helps to build intimacy: Alice Fryling, in an article titled, “Why Wait for Sex?” writes: “Genital sex is an expression of intimacy, not the means to intimacy. True intimacy springs from verbal and emotional communion. True intimacy is built on a commitment to honesty, love and freedom. True intimacy is not primarily a sexual encounter. Intimacy, in fact, has almost nothing to do with our sex organs. A prostitute may expose her body, but her relationships are hardly intimate.” Some experts even report that premarital sex short circuits emotional bonding process. Donald Joy, a writer for Christianity Today, cited a study of 100,000 women that linked “early sexual experience with dissatisfaction in their present marriages, unhappiness with the level of sexual intimacy and the prevalence of low self-esteem.”

b. It helps to know if the two partners are compatible: Some guys and ladies are of the opinion that no one would buy a car without test driving it; so they wouldn’t imagine committing to marriage without taking a “sex test drive”. This logic is faulty and unscriptural. Beloved, such people are suffering from either insecurity due to exposure to multiple sexual partner, wrong sexual orientation or are possessed with sexual demons. 

c. It reduces menstrual pain: There is no medical backup to substantiate for this. The reason why you are having menstrual pain can never be because you are a virgin. This is another lie from the pit of hell to make you sin against God.

d. You need to be experienced: Should you jump the gun having slept with different people, you would have gathered the experience of things you would never need. By the time you meet you spouse, you already have a Ph.D. but married to an OND holder in sextology. You are used to being spined on the roof, but here you are married to someone that cannot spin. “Honey try and be spinning me” and the husband would say “I don’t spin”. Until you meet your spouse, you don’t even know the experience you need. Don’t build an appetite for things that can never be satisfied in your own marriage. This is why people on their wedding night report their spouse to their ex. “Good understanding gives favor, but the way of the transgressor is hard.” Proverbs 13:15 (KJV).

Prophetic Decree: Receive your deliverance from the yoke of sexual bondage, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father because you are a holy God.

2. I receive my deliverance from dog spirit, in Jesus name.

3. I bind and cast out every spirit of sexual perversion, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit, please teach me sexual chastity, in Jesus name.

5. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break the yoke of uncontrollable sexual appetite, in Jesus name.
