Bible Reading: Isaiah 50:7

Memory Verse: Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. Isaiah 61:7 (ESV)

One powerful weapon in the armoury of the devil is the arrow of shame and disgrace. The devil is wickedly wicked. He keeps devising means by which the children of God can be humiliated and embarrassed and their faith ridiculed.

How does the arrow of shame and disgrace operate?:

1. When as a Christian you can’t pay your rents leading to an altercation between you and your landlord.
2. When you always come last in your class despite your diligent preparation.
3. When you are always moving from frying pan to fire.
4. When it is impossible to conceive after many years and your in-laws are mocking you.
5. When you are old enough to marry but there are no suitable suitors.
6. When you are suffering from your mistakes of yesterday.
7. When you are the only one that cannot contribute into the family purse.
8. When you are working like an elephant, but feeding like an ant.
9. When you are suffering from an embarrassing ailment such as tuberculosis, when an adult still bed-wet, etc.
10. When you know you are gifted, but there are no demand on your gifts.
11. When as the first born you are never financially buoyant.
    In our yesterday’s devotional, the arrow of shame and disgrace carefully waited for the lady with amputated leg at the junction of her breakthrough. It waited patiently for the money needed for a fresh start to be gathered before it struck.
    Any power pushing down your head shall be wasted, in Jesus name. The arrow of shame and disgrace indeed manifests in different forms and manner. It waited for this lady at the pinnacle of her success. Haven’t you heard of people who were very sick on their wedding day? Infact, at a particular time, a bride came for her wedding from her hospital bed with drips in her hands. Worst still, she died few days after. She saw her day of glory, like Moses saw the land of Canaan at Mount Pisgah (Deut. 34:1-4), but didn’t live to eat of it. That is the arrow of shame and disgrace. Today, such arrow shall return back to the senders, in Jesus name. If you haven’t surrender your life to Christ, do that right now.
    Quote: For your shame, you shall receive double glory – Isaiah 61:7
    Prophetic Decree: Any arrow of shame and disgrace fired at your destiny shall return back to the sender, in Jesus name.

12. Thank You Father because You have crowned me with glory and honour.
13. I reject the Mount Pisgah anointing in the name of Jesus.
14. Arrow of shame and disgrace fired into my life, backfire, in Jesus name.
15. Arrow of shame and disgrace fired into my health (mental, spiritual, emotional, etc), backfire, in Jesus name.
16. Arrow of shame and disgrace fired at the works of my hands, backfire, in Jesus name.
17. My glory manifest by fire, in Jesus name.
