Bible Reading: Galatians 5: 16-26
Memory Verse: Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified. Galatians 5:24 (MSG)

1.Dear young friend, for how long will you continue to run your life on your own terms? No one can talk to you. Your parents, teachers, and pastor mean little or nothing to you. You just want to run your life. At this young age, you’re so arrogant and pompous. Correction is very toxic to you. Hear me: If you don’t die to such mindset, you will soon end your life in a ditch irrespective of the prophecy hanging over your head. Your parents, pastor and teachers are not perfect and they will never be. Infact, they make mistakes atimes. Nevertheless, they know better than you do. Honour them to minimise your mistakes in the journey of life and subsequently obtain your divine heritage (Ephesians 6:1-3). Die to arrogance and disobedience. Die to trauncy. Die to self.

2.Dear brother. You are aware that the calling of God is upon your life. You know God is calling you into full time ministry. You know the perennial hardship and pain you and your family is going through is borne out of your disobedience. Why have you decided to love your secular job at the expense of your call? You don’t choose how you serve a spirit, he lords his will over you. I know it takes courage to leave certainty for uncertainty, but I bet as you take his yoke upon you, your destiny will manifest. Die to your strong will.

3.Dear sister. I can see you are thrilled by this new found relationship. The guy looks like everything you have ever dreamed of. He is handsome, rich, broad-chested, and from a good home. Thank God for his life. However, you haven’t turned the frequency of your spirit to carefully receive a sure word from the Lord before bringing your emotions into this relationship. He is a good guy doesn’t mean he is God’s perfect will for your life. Marriage is deeper than you think, friend. Die to the voice of your flesh. Go back to God for a sure word about your proposed marriage.

  1. Perhaps you are listening or reading this devotional and you are still lost in fornication, adultery, pornography, forgery, examination malpractice, masturbation, unforgiveness, bitterness, drunkenness, etc. Repent today. Stop all these foolish arguments about a drink containing only 2%, 3% or 5% alcohol. Honour God with your body. Flee from all appearances of evil. One step into worldliness and you may never recover your path to righteousness again. Don’t play smart with the devil. This Old serpent has been around for a long time. Take heed lest you fall.

Quote: The price of true life is death.

Prophetic Decree: The stronghold of flesh, sin, self and Satan is broken over your heart, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

  1. I bind and cast out the spirit of disobedience, in Jesus name.
  2. I receive grace to honour custodians of my destiny heritage, in Jesus name.
  3. I receive grace to lay down my ambitions and follow the calling of God for my life, in Jesus name.
  4. I refuse to look after the flesh as it concerns marriage. O Lord, help me to know and do your will, in Jesus name.
  5. Whether the devil likes it or not, my flesh shall not reign over me, in Jesus name.
