Bible Reading: Matthew 1:18-25
Memory Verse: And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 NKJV
A brother always goes out for morning evangelism. On this particular day, he preached with so great a conviction borne out of revelation. He cried out saying, “There was someone going to hell but the door of mercy is opened unto him if only he could surrender his life to Christ”. No one came out. Before evening, someone died in that area who was not born again. Then it became clear who the evangelist was talking about.
Over 2000 years ago, the Word became flesh and dwell amongst men. He was bruised, flogged and disgraced for your sake. Today, you are celebrating the birth of this king who died for the redemption of your sins. Hope you are not celebrating in emptiness? It is possible to attend a birthday party of a person you hardly know. You could go to the dancing floor and jubilate with him yet, you do not have a personal relationship with Him. When the party is over off you go away till another birthday. Beloved, life is more than celebrating birthday. Why celebrate in emptiness and futility? Have you met the Lord Jesus? Do you know Him? When last did He speak to you? Are you in a backsliding state? The best gift you can give the celebrant of today is not your presence in his birthday party (presence in Church) but your heart. You could be in the sanctuary but your heart is far away in the mortuary (hell). The door of heaven is open. Show this king who died that you truly love him. Come unto Him today.
Quote: A life without Christ is a life full of crises.
Prophetic Decree: May the Blood of Jesus speak redemption to your souls today and forever more, in Jesus name.
