Bible Reading: Isaiah 43: 18-19

Memory VerseForget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Isaiah 43:18 (MSG)

It is Year 2023. One thing you must not continue to do is to bring the worst of your past into your present. Perhaps in your career you once made a wrong investment, learn from the mistake, but that mustn’t stop you from taking other well calculated risks in the future. Perhaps some issues happened in your past relationships, that does not mean you should seal your mind against subsequent relationships. A bad moment shouldn’t automatically translate to a bad day. You’ve got to be emotionally strong in God. Yes, you can! Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

Some people were raped many years ago, yet they keep reliving the experience even in their husband’s house. Now, for no just cause their husband repel them. Yes, you confided in a friend or perhaps your pastor and he betrayed your trust. That shouldn’t be the end of the world. The assumption, “All men of God are the same could rob you of your eternal destiny”. There are angels in men. Man still remains God’s special formula for solving life’s greatest mysteries. A few blue ink dropped in the middle of a mighty ocean wouldn’t contaminate the entire body of water.

Furthermore, some people are suffering from emotional soul tie. Though they are married or in another relationship, they can’t get their mind off their ex. Others are emotionally tied to pornography, masturbation, homosexuality, etc. All these are emotional weights that breed sin, and attract demonic infestations.

In addition, guilt, worry and regret of past wrongs are part of the emotional baggage people carry about. Like a rocking chair that makes no forward progress, such people keep recycling those poisonous streak of thoughts that keeps them continually toxic, irritating and unable to think of a way forward.

WAY OUT

1. Confession and restitution where necessary.

2. Warfare: Know for sure that the devil is a master strategist who seeks to tie down your present and future in the dunghill of your past. Hence, wage war against Baalzebub spirit.

3. Talk with a trained Christian counselor.

4. Bible confession and Bible memorization: Gather relevant Bible passages like bullets

5. Read the testimonies of others whom God has helped overcome  such

6. Positive motivational self-talk (Psalm 37: 4-5 NLT).

7. Forgive yourself.

Quote:  Leave the past in the dunghill of the past.

Prophetic Decree: Let the fire of the Holy Ghost consume all demons resident in your mind, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. By your Sovereign acts and power, Holy Spirit, rule over my heart, in Jesus name.

2. Mind demons, be roasted by the fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus name.

3. Dominion power of the finished works on the Cross of Calvary, reign in my heart, in Jesus name.

4. Blood of Jesus, laminate my mind.

5. I receive grace to think only what is pure, true, holy, acceptable, honest and good, in Jesus name.
