FACTS ABOUT THE RESTRAINING POWER OF VISION

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post January

Thursday, 6th January, 2022

Bible Reading:  Luke 4: 42-44, John 6:15

Memory Verse:  Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone. John6:15(NKJV)

1. Your vision requires that you stay focused on your assignment.

2. The purpose of life is not freedom but vision.

3. You cannot train a man further than his vision.

4. A divine vision will surely put some constraints on you. Vision is a source of discipline. When a man lacks discipline, he lacks vision. Vision without discipline is simply a mere wish.

5. Many atimes, goal setting is overrated while commitment to a vision is underrated.

6. To come out successful you must deny yourself of certain liberties. There are places you must not be found because of your vision.

7. You should get to a junction where your vision makes it impossible to seat for SEVERAL HOURS with the television or social media.

8. Your vision should make it impossible for you to marry just anybody.

9. A God-given vision will put restraint into your life. If your vision doesn’t put a restraint on you, you do not have a vision yet. Vision will make you live narrow.

10. Not all good opportunities is good for you. Some good opportunities are good distractions. Jesus refused to be crowned the people’s king because it is not in allignment with His vision (John 6:15). Some opportunities are not consistent with your vision.

11. You must not be opportunity driven rather, you should be vision driven. Jesus didn’t embrace the opportunity He was given to become the people’s king (Luke 4: 42-43). Some opportunities could take you out of your vision.

12. The vision of Nehemiah and the people constrained them to wear only one cloth for a while using one hand to build and the other to fight their enemy (Neh. 4:15-23). “Why haven’t you bought a car?” The vision of investment in his future in real estate might have constrained him.

13. Don’t allow people come to your life to change your vision, or tamper with it.

14. Men and women who have a vision to build a lovely, godly families don’t take certain jobs. Sometimes it is not about more money but more availability.

15. Whether you have a vision or not, life is counting. When you know where you are going you should know that not all roads will take you there. Your vision is your permanent address. Destiny can be called destination. Therefore, destiny dictates decisions. If you don’t care where you will end up, it doesn’t matter which way you take. Consistency in the wrong road will never lead you to the right direction.

Quote: Not all opportunities are consistent with your vision.

Prophetic Decree:  This Year 2022 heavens shall block your blockers, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus because whatever You start You always finish.

2. I receive the power and grace to focus, in Jesus name.

3. I receive the divine enablement to fulfill my destiny in Year 2022, in Jesus name.

4. I silence all demonic altars of my father’s house, in Jesus name.

5. I receive power and wisdom for self-restraints, in Jesus name.
