Bible Reading: Isaiah 8: 11-18
Memory Verse: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm. If you fear it, you have welcomed it. Fear is a door opener to demons. Job said, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” (Job 3:25).
The Various Entrance Of Fear Include:
- When you dilute your faith with other people’s experiences or past negative experiences: Your present health challenge does not negate the truth of the Word of God. Jesus is the Great Physician (Exodus 15:26). Your parent died of hypertension does not mean that high blood pressure will kill you. Your case is different. Kill that demon of hypertension in your lineage. COVID-19 killed a member of your team does not mean you are also infected. Take precautions even as you fight a good fight of faith in your mind. Whose testimony shall you believe?
- Speaking careless words: Why should you confess everything unbelievers confess. When sick they say, “I am sick”, “I am dying”, etc. But the Bible says, “Let the weak say I am strong.” How are you feeling? Say, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” You can’t be calling yourself one of the poor masses and you rise above the masses. As Christians, our hope is anchored on God, and not on our emotions, experiences or situations. Irrespective of your situation say, “I am blessed and highly favoured”. Only good things happen to me. I walk upon the high places of the earth. I will make it.” Your situation should not determine your confession. Your situations are temporal, don’t align with them. Allign your words with the settled Word of God. Psalms 119:89 (KJV) says, “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
Quote: Say only what the Bible says despite your fears or situation.
Prophetic Decree: Thou spirit of fear, die, in Jesus name.
