Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6

Memory VerseTherefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)

God’s servant, Pastor George Izunwa gave an explosive revelation about this topic: The free dictionary defines a bug as an insect having mouthparts used for piercing and sucking. An example is the bedbug. You can also refer to other worrisome insects, like the cockroach, as bugs! Bugs aren’t nice. Actually, ‘to bug’ means to pester and annoy. In the world of computer, bugs can also be glitches and defects in a computer program or its design. They can be weak areas in a code that give hackers access to the program. Spiritually, there could be a bug in your life. The enemy within.

Spiritual bugs manifest like a combination of the natural and computer bugs. They can prove to be very difficult to control. They also open doors for spiritual attacks and destiny hijack. And you know that some electronic bugs are listening devices. Some spiritual bugs are also signposts of demonic surveillance! Many spiritual bugs operate like embed saboteurs! They stir up illicit passions and actions, then they trigger inner alarms of guilt and condemnation! They create occasions of failure and take advantage of such to puncture momentum and audacity of faith.

We call them besetting sins. They are our familiar weaknesses. We excuse them because they’ve been long with us! They’re bugs we enjoy and hate! These include that short temper and foul words. That jealousy and bitterness thing. That sexting & ‘funny’ porno stuff. That tramadol to ‘calm your head’. That secret ritual from some ‘priests’. That addictive ‘bedroom drinking’. That he/she is ‘just a friend’ situation. That ‘I will replace it later’ misappropriation!

What do you do?

1. You start by stopping! Yes, stop & reflect.

2. Examine yourself! (2 Cor 13:5).

3. Renounce hidden things of dishonesty! (2 Cor 10:1-2).

4 Pull down mental strongholds! (2 Cor 10:3-6).

5. Renew your mind with God’s word! (Rom 12:1-2).

6. Break from people that reinforce your bondage! (Pro 13:20).

7. Be real serious about demanding your freedom!

8. Ask for the help of spiritual authority!

9. Open your heart to people who can be trusted and who have a good track record of helping people without betraying their confidences! Yes, such people still exist! Ask God to guide you to such!

Quote: Sin could be so sweet until it turns back to destroy and ruin.

Prophetic Decree: Every evil yoke of demonic addiction is broken, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Sing: Jesus set me free, why should I be bound.

2. Let the fire of the Holy Ghost roast all easily besetting sins away from my life, in Jesus name.

3. Yoke of pornography and masturbation, break by fire, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit please take control of my appetite, in Jesus name.

5. Fetters of chain binding me to any evil addiction, break by fire, in Jesus name.BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Exodus 36-38
